75 ఏళ్ల వయసులో, డా. సుభాష్ చంద్ర కేవలం మీడియా దిగ్గజం కాదు భారత మీడియా ముఖచిత్రాన్ని మార్చిన దేశ నిర్మాణ దృష్టావంతుడు. సాటిలైట్ టీవీ సాధారణం కాగానే, అనేక భాషల్లో మాట్లాడే భారతాన్ని ఊహించారు.

1990లలో ఒకే ప్రభుత్వ ఛానల్‌కు పరిమితమైన టీవీ ప్రపంచంలో, జీ టెలివిజన్‌తో కొత్త అధ్యాయాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. ప్రాంతీయ భాషల ద్వారా కోట్లాది మందికి తమ కథలను చూపించారు.

మీడియాను ఎలైట్ వర్గాల గడపల నుంచి బయటకు తీసుకొచ్చి, ప్రజాస్వామ్య స్వరాన్ని నిర్మించారు. సాంకేతిక మార్పులను అవకాశంగా మలిచిన ఆయన నాయకత్వం, జీని తరతరాలకూ సంబంధించిన వేదికగా నిలిపింది.
