The relentless inter-state travel, intense political pressure, and continuous exposure to extreme weather lead to severe exhaustion and silent mental burnout.
The Bharat Media Association urges all media organizations to prioritize the occupational health of their political correspondents. Mandatory rotational shifts, adequate rest periods, and accessible mental health counseling must immediately become standard industry practices during high-pressure national and state election cycles.
