“Voices United: Journalists Rise to Defend Media Freedom”

Several press-freedom organisations have warned of growing threats to independent journalism.
In the U.S., the Pentagon issued a new rule requiring journalists to sign a pledge not to gather or publish information without government approval, even if it’s unclassified.
Those who refused lost their press access, and many veteran reporters have withdrawn in protest.
Media bodies call this a direct assault on press freedom and democracy, saying journalism must stay free from government control.

Governments are demanding reporters publish only “approved” information — a move seen as a direct attack on free journalism and democracy.

🕊️ When truth is controlled, freedom is lost.
Let’s stand with journalists defending our right to know.
Speak. Resist. Protect the Press.
