When evaluating the likelihood that an audio file's contents have been altered, journalists now rely on comprehensive spectrographic analysis. By converting sound waves into visual spectrograms, digital forensic teams can instantly spot unnatural frequency cuts or digital splicing.

The Bharat Media Association views this as a mandatory newsroom capability. Visualizing voice acoustics empowers the press to scientifically prove when a politician's voice has been synthetically cloned or deceptively patched together.
