The psychological and moral strength of the press is most visible when journalists endure extreme state persecution yet refuse to break. Despite the rampant misuse of anti-terror laws like UAPA and the PMLA against editors and reporters to induce a chilling effect, the journalistic community continues to report from ground zero.
The Bharat Media Association salutes this unyielding bravery. The state's inability to permanently silence the press, even with the threat of prolonged imprisonment without bail, demonstrates the indestructible institutional strength of truth-tellers in India.
