In a strong appeal for press freedom and journalist safety, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has urged authorities to provide immediate security for renowned journalist Rana Ayyub and her father, following reports of threats and intimidation.

Rana Ayyub, known for her fearless investigative work and outspoken journalism, has long been a target of harassment and online abuse. CPJ emphasized that no journalist should be punished or endangered for doing their duty  telling the truth.“The safety of one journalist is the safety of free speech itself,” CPJ stated, calling on officials to ensure protection for Ayyub and her family.

In times when courage meets hostility, this call is more than just for one reporter  it’s a stand for every voice that refuses to be silenced. Because when truth is threatened, democracy trembles.
