UP Cracks Down on Fake India–Nepal Bus Permits Along 550 km Border

Aligarh, Baghpat & Maharajganj, July 2025 — The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a crackdown on private buses plying the India–Nepal route using fake permits. Investigations revealed forged entries in the VAHAN 4.0 system and tout-driven approvals at RTO offices. FIRs have been registered, and legal proceedings are underway to curb this illegal transport activity along the 550 km border stretch.
