Lucknow, July 2025 — In a significant move to enhance disaster management, the Uttar Pradesh government has signed a ₹19.99 crore MoU with the UN Development Programme (UNDP). This partnership will develop comprehensive risk reduction plans for 75 districts and 15 departments across the state. The initiative will focus on vulnerability mapping in 20 cities and the installation of advanced early warning systems to boost the state’s preparedness for natural disasters. The project aligns with global standards for disaster response and aims to safeguard communities in the face of growing environmental challenges.
