Using suddenly discovered, highly technical municipal building code violations, local administrations issue immediate demolition or eviction notices to the offices of critical newspapers and digital portals.
The Bharat Media Association identifies this as a brazen form of infrastructural intimidation. Weaponizing municipal laws to physically threaten the operational headquarters of independent media houses is a direct assault on the fundamental physical security of the press.
