Courtroom Reporting: Judicial Bans on Live Tweeting

0
66

The power of legal journalism is facing new hurdles as certain High Courts impose strict guidelines restricting the live-tweeting of courtroom observations and oral remarks during sensitive trials. This severely limits real-time public access to critical judicial proceedings.

The Bharat Media Association argues that while preserving courtroom decorum is essential, curbing live reporting actively damages judicial transparency. We strongly advocate for unrestricted, responsible legal reporting to ensure the public remains immediately informed about vital constitutional hearings shaping their daily lives.
