For years, journalists have been the voice of truth — informing, inspiring, and strengthening democracy. Yet, many retired journalists now struggle to live with dignity on a pension of just ₹11,000.

Media associations and unions across the country are calling for a raise to ₹20,000, a fair step that honors their lifelong dedication to public service. This is not a demand for luxury, but a plea for dignity — a way to say thank you to those who spent their lives telling our stories.

They stood for truth. Now, it’s our turn to stand for them.
