“Securing the Future of Truth Tellers — HYDRAA Fences Govt Land for Journalists’ Safety!”
The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has secured 38 acres of government land in Pet Basheerabad, Quthbullapur mandal (Medchal-Malkajgiri district), originally allocated to journalists in 2008.
After receiving complaints from the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Mutually Aided Cooperative Housing Society (JNJMACHS) about illegal encroachments, HYDRAA, along with Revenue, HMDA, and Municipal officials, conducted a joint inspection and confirmed the issue.
HYDRAA removed encroachments, fenced the land, and clarified that the action was only to protect government property until the court’s final directions on land distribution.
Commissioner A.V. Ranganath said a meeting will soon be held with current residents to verify land records in detail.
