Parliament’s Both Houses Adjourned Amid Uproar

New Delhi: The proceedings of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned today following repeated disruptions and heated exchanges between members. The uproar began soon after the sessions commenced, with opposition parties raising slogans and demanding immediate discussions on key national issues, including economic distress, unemployment, and recent policy decisions.

Despite repeated appeals from the presiding officers to maintain order, the chaos continued, forcing the adjournment first in the morning and later for the entire day. The stalemate has further delayed the passage of several important bills pending in the current session.

Political analysts say such frequent adjournments not only stall legislative work but also raise concerns over the effective functioning of parliamentary democracy. Both ruling and opposition parties have accused each other of avoiding constructive debate.

The Houses are expected to resume tomorrow, but with tensions running high, it remains uncertain if normal proceedings will be restored.
