Landslides and Floods Cause Major Disruptions in Manipur - Relentless rainfall in Manipur has led to severe landslides and widespread flooding, disrupting normal life across several regions. Key highways, particularly the routes connecting Tamenglong and Imphal, as well as areas near Noney district, have been blocked. Overflowing rivers have submerged farmland and low-lying areas, hampering transportation and agricultural activities and raising concerns about further damage if the rains continue.
