On July 16, 2025, the Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh High Court denied bail to a juvenile implicated in a narco‑terrorism case. Although under 18 at the time of arrest, the Juvenile Justice Board assessed that the severity of the charges and his maturity warranted trial as an adult. The decision emphasizes judicial seriousness towards terror-related crimes in the sensitive border region.
