Arrested Across Three States for Allegedly Spying for Pakistan

New Delhi, – In the wake of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, Indian law enforcement and intelligence agencies have intensified surveillance operations, resulting in the arrest of at least 11 individuals across three states on charges of espionage.

Among those arrested is Jyoti Malhotra, a resident of Haryana, who has been accused of sharing sensitive information and maintaining continuous contact with a Pakistani national identified as Danish.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that the accused were allegedly part of a broader network involved in leaking confidential military and strategic data to Pakistan. The crackdown is part of a nationwide intelligence-led operation aimed at dismantling spy rings operating under the radar.

“These arrests underline the serious nature of cross-border intelligence threats we continue to face,” a senior official said. “Our agencies remain vigilant and committed to neutralizing any attempt to compromise national security.”

The arrested individuals are currently in custody and being interrogated by central intelligence teams. Authorities have recovered communication devices, documents, and other materials that are now under forensic examination.

Further investigations are ongoing, and officials have not ruled out additional arrests in the coming days.
