Human-Led Journalism Becomes a "Premium" Service in 2026
A new industry report (Reuters Institute 2026) shows that over 20% of online news is now low-quality, AI-generated content (often called "AI Slop").
As AI makes it cheaper to mass-produce news, verified human reporting is becoming more valuable but harder to fund.
BMA Advocacy: We are pushing for a "Human Verified" badge for our members to distinguish real investigative work from AI-generated summaries.
