🌄 Operation Bihali Underway: Security Forces in Udhampur Forest Engagement

Udhampur, J&K – A precision-driven joint security operation—named Operation Bihali—was launched today by the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps and Jammu & Kashmir Police in the forested Bihali area of Basantgarh, Udhampur district, following robust intelligence on terrorist movements

Fire was exchanged after contact was established around 8:30 AM, under dense fog and rainfall.
-
Authorities confirmed four Pakistan-linked Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists — monitored for nearly a year — were cornered in the rugged terrain
-
In follow-up actions, security forces neutralised one terrorist, described as a “high-value Pakistan-trained commander,” while the search continued for the remaining suspects
🤝 Joint Operation & Reinforcements:

The campaign involves para-commandos, Army, Police, CRPF, and supporting units.
