On July 16, 2025, Union Minister George Kurian virtually inaugurated two new infrastructure projects under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) in Siaha district. These initiatives, announced at the MADC Golden Jubilee Hall, aim to improve facilities for minority and tribal communities. Local legislators and council members attended the event, praising the central government's focus on development in northeastern India. The projects are part of the “Vikshit Bharat 2047” vision and seek to uplift marginalized sections through improved amenities and inclusive growth.
