The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has urged actor Sunny Deol and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali to sever professional ties with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. This plea stems from a controversy surrounding Dosanjh's upcoming film, Sardaar Ji 3, which includes Pakistani actor Hania Aamir and will not be released theatrically in India.

The FWICE, which has initiated a boycott of Dosanjh, emphasized to Sunny Deol that distancing himself from Dosanjh would uphold his patriotic image, especially given his role in Border 2. They also informed Imtiaz Ali that his continued collaboration with Dosanjh, following their work on Amar Singh Chamkila, could send a contradictory message regarding his socially conscious filmmaking. The federation has stated it will not support any of Dosanjh's future projects and has called upon the Indian government to blacklist him and the creators of Sardaar Ji 3, requesting the revocation of their passports and Indian citizenship.
