Young Chess Talents Shine at Chhattisgarh U-13 State Championship

RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh State Under-13 FIDE Rated Chess Championship concluded with remarkable performances from budding chess prodigies. Shilp Kumar Ghodeshwar from Durg clinched the title in the Open (Boys) category, while Pratishtha Ahirwar from Raipur emerged victorious in the Girls category

The championship witnessed participation from 126 players representing 20 districts, including 20 internationally rated participants. In the Open category, Shilp secured the top position, followed by Abhinav Singh Rajput of Durg in second place and Devansh Jain of Raipur in third. Virat Iyer of Durg claimed the fourth spot.

 In the Girls category, Pratishtha led the standings, with Ishika Madke of Durg securing second place and Hetanshi Mudaliar of Raipur finishing third.

Based on their outstanding performances, Shilp, Abhinav Singh Rajput, Pratishtha Ahirwar, and Ishika Madke have been selected to represent Chhattisgarh in the upcoming national competition. The event was hosted at the Academic World School in Bemetara, providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience in competitive chess.
