Churu (Rajasthan): In a chilling case that shook Rajasthan’s Churu district, the District and Sessions Court on Monday delivered its verdict in the 2022 Bissau Road poisoning case, where a woman, in collusion with a self-styled tantrik and his aides, conspired to poison her live-in partner and his associates over a property dispute.

The crime took place on November 10, 2022, when Manoj Beniwal, a resident of Bissau Road, and five of his associates, including his employee Babulal Gurjar, were served food allegedly laced with poisonous tablets and powder.

According to the investigation, Suman, Manoj’s partner, received the spiked meal from Omkarlal, a self-proclaimed occult practitioner. Acting on his instructions, she served the food to Manoj and the others.

  • Tragically, Babulal Gurjar died after consuming the poisoned food.
